Most participating teams in the 48 Hour Film Project are comprised of somewhere between 8 and 24 team members. The largest team consisted of 120 people and 29 horses. The smallest team consists of 1 person.
Perhaps the most noteworthy one-man team is Bill Dyzel from Cinema Solo. He has competed 29 times in 10 different cities. Over the course of that run, he’s created each film entirely by himself, writing, shooting, performing, and editing the entire movie each time.
Here’s a retrospective he put together.
In San Jose, registration is open for the 2011 48 Hour Film Project season. The competition weekend is August 12-14.
If Bill Dyzel can do this all by himself, think about what you can do if you get 4 of your friends together to tell a story in just a weekend. Register now and you will be surprised about who steps up to help you!
